# Location Association Labels

## Change Default Service and Billing Location Assignments

## Summary

Association labels identify a company’s default service location and billing location. Each label can belong to only one location at a time, so remove it from the current location before assigning it to another. Trying to assign a label that is still in use causes a saving error.

## Step-by-step

1. Find the company’s associated locations and identify the location with the label you want to change.
2. Hover over that location, click More, and select Edit association labels.
3. Click the X on the Default service location or Billing location label to remove it.
4. Click Update to save the removal.
5. Hover over the new location, click More, and select Edit association labels.
6. Open the dropdown and select the label you removed from the previous location.
7. Click Update to save the new assignment.
8. Confirm that the label appears on the intended location.
